This base/runtime image ships critical vulnerabilities that any image built on it would inherit; they must be remediated before the final image goes to production. An attacker could exploit CVE-2026-45447 to achieve remote code execution via crafted PKCS#7 messages, or leverage CVE-2019-9192 to cause denial of service through uncontrolled recursion. Disabling PKCS7 processing or restricting network access to the application can mitigate CVE-2026-45447, but full remediation requires updating glibc and OpenSSL packages. Note that CVE-2026-45447 only applies if the application uses PKCS7_verify() on attacker-controlled input; default usage may not trigger it. Note: this is a general-purpose base/runtime image — many findings live in components that an application built on top may never load, so actual exploitability depends on the final image. For an accurate risk picture, re-scan the final application image with context.
