This image carries significant risk; production deployment is highly discouraged without strict compensating controls. An attacker could exploit certificate validation bypasses to perform spoofing or man-in-the-middle attacks on TLS connections. CVE-2026-42010 only applies if RSA-PSK authentication is enabled, which is not default; disabling this module fully eliminates it. CVE-2026-45447 requires processing PKCS#7 signed data, which is uncommon in GitLab's typical use. Many vulnerabilities are in gnutls (CVE-2026-42013, CVE-2026-3833) and affect outbound TLS, so network segmentation and certificate pinning can reduce risk.
