This image poses a critical security risk and must not be used in production, especially as an internet-facing service. An attacker could cause denial of service by sending a crafted regex (CVE-2017-11164) or potentially execute remote code by exploiting a use-after-free in OpenSSL if PKCS#7 processing is enabled (CVE-2026-45447). Disabling the PKCS#7 verification module would fully mitigate CVE-2026-45447. Note that CVE-2026-45447 requires non-default configuration to process PKCS#7 messages, but many other vulnerabilities require no special setup.
